it seems like they are out to get the legitimate buyer, but the crook who crack the software can use it in anyway they like without spending a coin or get a slap on their wrist. This whole single machine activation bull crap is so inconvenient. my situation is that i'm looking to upgrade to a newer laptop in a few months and need to have my student software activated on the new machine. I just recently purchased an nspire cx cas calculator and learned that the student software can only be activated on a single computer after i have already activated the software on my computer.
